How to make Biryani Without rice 



Biryani is a traditional dish that is typically made with rice as one of its main ingredients. Here is an example recipe for Cauliflower Biryani :


Ingredients:


1 head of cauliflower, grated

1 onion, finely chopped

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp red chili powder

1/2 cup peas

1/2 cup carrots, diced

1 cup tomato puree

Salt, to taste

1 tsp ghee or oil

1/4 cup cashews, chopped

1/4 cup raisins

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

1/4 cup mint leaves, chopped

Instructions:


Heat ghee or oil in a pan.

Add onion, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder and sauté for a minute.

Add peas, carrots and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add cauliflower and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add tomato puree, salt, cashews, raisins, cilantro and mint leaves. Mix well.

Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Cauliflower biryani is ready to serve.
